Two weeks before: confirm your mover and date, declutter, and start using up perishables. One week before: begin packing non-essentials, label boxes and inform key contacts of your address change.

The day before: pack an essentials box, charge your phone, defrost the fridge and set aside valuables to carry yourself. On moving day: supervise loading, verify the inventory and do a final walkthrough of the empty home.
