The earlier you inform your mover about a date change, the easier it is for them to slot in a new crew and vehicle for your new date. Last-minute changes, especially on weekends or month-end (the busiest days), are harder to accommodate.

- Get the cancellation and rescheduling terms in writing before booking, not verbally
- Ask specifically what happens to any advance paid if you cancel or reschedule
- Confirm whether rescheduling to a new date carries any additional charge
