Local shifting
- Within the same city - for example, anywhere across Bangalore.
- Usually completed the same day.
- Priced mainly on volume, floor access and short distance.
- Lighter packing can suffice for a short trip.
Domestic / intercity shifting
- Between cities - Bangalore to Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and beyond.
- Takes one to several days depending on distance.
- Priced on distance, volume and vehicle type (dedicated vs shared).
- Needs stronger packing and often transit insurance.
Which applies to you?
If you are moving within Bangalore, it is a local shift. Moving to another city is a domestic/intercity move, which needs more planning and documentation.
