Payment terms are one of the most common areas of confusion — and fraud — when booking packers and movers. Here's what's normal and safe.
What advance amount is typical
A modest advance (often a small percentage of the total quote) to confirm your booking date is standard practice. Be cautious of movers demanding a large advance (50% or more) or full payment before the move even starts.
Accepted payment modes
Reputable movers accept UPI, bank transfer, cash and card payments, and issue a proper receipt or invoice for every payment — advance and final. Always ask for a receipt with the company name, address and GST number.
Red flags to avoid
- Demands for full payment via personal UPI ID rather than a business account.
- No written quote — only verbal promises.
- Reluctance to provide GSTIN or a proper receipt.
- Pressure to pay urgently "to hold the slot" without documentation.
How we handle payments
We issue clear, printed receipts and GST invoices for every payment stage — advance, loading and final balance — so you always have documentation of what's paid and what's due.
