- Gas cylinders and flammable liquids
- Paints, thinners and aerosols
- Fireworks and other explosives
These are restricted for safety and are usually not covered by transit insurance.
Perishables and plants
Use up or give away food before the move. Fresh food and opened liquids can spill, spoil and attract pests in transit.
Your essentials box
Pack a separate bag with a change of clothes, toiletries, chargers, snacks and basic tools so your first night is comfortable.
