Fragile items cause the most moving-day anxiety, but with the right materials and technique they travel safely. Here's how our packing teams protect delicate goods.
Use the right materials
- Bubble wrap for glass, frames and screens
- Foam sheets and packing paper for cushioning
- Sturdy double-walled cartons for crockery
- Corner protectors for mirrors and frames
Pack smart, not just tight
Wrap each item individually, never let glass pieces touch, and fill empty gaps in the box so nothing shifts. Pack heavier items at the bottom and lighter ones on top. Plates travel best stored vertically, like records, rather than stacked flat.
Label clearly
Mark fragile boxes on all sides and indicate which way is up. This tells the loading crew to handle and stack them with extra care.
